The design of the Bug took place more in my computer than any other model I have built. It would have the side benefit of being inexpensive! Over the last few years there have been a few all-composite kit offerings and although they are worth every penny for the handcrafted fiberglass and foam work, I thought there must be a way to get good performance out of a builtup design. Full-sized hand-launched gliders have spans no larger than 1.5 meters or roughly 59 in. Mosquito class gliders have half the wingspan restriction of a standard handlaunch glider.
